This week, Mohammed Yunus joined several prominent figures in the world of financial literacy and capability for the New York Stock Exchange event, “Financial Capability: Empowering Girls and Women,” part of the NYSE’s Financial Capability Week.

Its passage is often cited as a milestone.  Given so many conflicts around the globe, however, what was this resolution’s real impact? May 15, 2009 posted by admin This past year has been a whirlwind for women and politics!  The campaigns of Hillary Clinton and Sarah Palin demonstrated that sexism in the media is far from dead. A number of powerful women are playing vital roles in the new administration.  And Obama’s first 100 days proved to be very woman-friendly. Of course, our work is far from done.
