On April 14th, I treated myself to a night of culture and activism at the Florence Gould Hall. Leaving my researcher hat at the door, I refused to take notes (a rarity for me as I am known to take notes during a coffee conversation with a close friend). The Opportunity Agenda  hosted an amazing event that brought activists, artists, and us regular folks together to discuss the human rights of immigrants in the U.S. The event was part of their larger Immigration Arts + Culture Initiative . PBS anchor Maria Hinojosa  moderated the dynamic panel, weaving her personal story in between the questions.
