The Center for Women Policy Studies is very pleased to share with you the Briefing Paper from our sisters at the Global Coalition on Women and AIDS (GCWA) and the AIDS Legal Network (ALN), South Africa.
The Paper, Building Women’s Meaningful Participation in the Scale-Up of Vertical Transmission Programmes, is the result of the GCWA and ALN partnership with networks of women living with and affected by HIV and with women's rights advocates from the sexual and reproductive health and rights movement.
The Briefing Paper is important to women leaders throughout the world as it helps to guide our efforts to ensure that the self-defined needs of women living with HIV/AIDS shape programs and policies in each of our communities and countries.
The wisdom and leadership of our GCWA sisters will help to shape the Center’s ongoing work with women state legislators in the United States – through our National Resource Center on Women and HIV/AIDS Policy – and with women Members of Parliament and Ministers worldwide – through our GlobalPOWER® (Partnership Of Women Elected/Appointed Representatives) programs.
